Founded in 1984, David Hunter · Architects focuses on the full range of architectural and planning services required by today’s users of residential, commercial and institutional space. While we have significant expertise in dealing with the intricacies of building within New York City, our client-base extends through the Tri-State Region and beyond.

Since the firm's inception, we have completed over 5 million square feet of new office space and over 8 million square feet of redesigned office space. We have an ongoing and design consultancy for financial trading floors in New York as well as various projects with restaurants, retail stores, custom homes and condominiums/apartments.

Design Philosophy

We are concerned with the entire finished environment, from the most basic work-station to an entire building of offices. Our goal is to create spaces which optimally fulfill both the individual needs of the users while facilitating the functioning of the entire organization.

This firm’s orientation is based on thorough research into the needs of each project - especially those that are specific to its organization. Each completed design is meant to be a unique reflection of the client’s functional requirements and its environmental goals. In no case is there any concern to impose an outside or predetermined design statement on any project. Our work is meant to culminate in a balanced design which is as excellent for its aesthetics as it is efficient and pleasant for the people experiencing it.
