Alta Vista: *** Simple and advanced search options.Use advanced search for full Boolean searches.Both Simple and Advanced support phrase searching (" "), field searching (title, domain, host, URL, and link searches), and truncation (*). Near facility (terms within 10 words of each other) in Advanced search. Translation facility translates French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese websites into English (and vice versa).

Automatically returns pages that include all keywords, so the plus sign (+) and the operator AND are not necessary. Also, quotation marks for phrase searching are not required as Google returns pages with keywords in close proximity.
