Corporations and institutions are refocusing on the importance of site selection and planning,
especially in the New York metropolitan area. Two trends have brought site selection to the
fore front: the advent of the electronic office and the increasingly tense search for security.
The thrust to office automation is hardly new. The once new electronic office is now an
accomplished fact. At every level employees are now using personal computers for even
routine operations. Local and Wide Area Networks interconnecting P.C.'s throughout an
enterprise are now a necessity.
